The "Golden Owl Dried Mango" product may contain undeclared sulfites, said the Food and Drug Administration in a release dated Monday, Jan. 29. People with an allergy or sensitivity to sulfites may experience a serious or life-threatening reaction if consumed, regulators warn.

The product comes in 7-ounce packages and is numbered UPC 816710-024461 on the left side of the container, the FDA said.

Anyone who bought the product can return it to the store for a full refund, according to officials.

The undeclared sulfites were discovered by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets after routine sampling, federal regulators said. Authorities believe the issue was caused by "a temporary breakdown in the supplier’s labeling processes."

Customers with questions can call the company directly at 215-456-1883 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
